Online payments & digital processes to minimize COVID-19 impact on retail & eCommerce

by Luiza Filipoi

Social responsibility is something we value as much as our clients. We understand how crucial population safety is, but we also acknowledge the importance of the merchant-client relationship... even when there are no means for direct contact. Moving the activity from offline to online it's always a good idea and most probably an efficient solution for this situation.

To avoid any impact of COVID-19, we would suggest some simple but effective measures such as working from home, avoiding any direct contact (especially in agglomerated places), washing hands, but also making transactions as contactless as possible. The way we use cash today may stimulate the spread of infections and we recommend you switch to a virtual payment method like online payments or payment links. If it's absolutely necessary to interact with cash, you should consider medical gloves and sanitizer but also to inform customers to do the same.

Work from home

On this note, to support our clients in these uncertain times, we developed a fully digital merchant onboarding and collaboration process. This way, we ensure a fast onboarding that helps with business continuity and impact reduction.

Digital Onboarding Process

As a merchant, you can start processing payments online with Twispay right after we validate the information you provided through our onboarding platform, designed especially to ensure productivity and efficiency for all parties involved.

The process is quick and easy and, once again, fully digital – you provide basic company details and documentation through our intuitive tool and we start registering your account. It is sufficient to provide your website info, company identification details, documents and payment processing set-up factors. After a 5-step online journey, you are ready to get straight to action!

Document validation & eSignature

In regard to the validation phase, we partnered with DocuSign to offer our clients a simplified contactless way to sign documentation through electronic signature.

Whether we're talking about the contract or any other necessary document we may need during our collaboration, you can sign in with just one click.

You don't need an eSignature provider; we're offering a certificate that entitles you to sign any document we're sending. When a file is ready to be reviewed, you'll receive a notification via email. In the same manner, a confirmation email will be sent as soon as both parts sign a document.
